The manicures are popular because they are cheap and easy to make, but they’re also known to contain chemicals that could cause skin irritation.
They can also make your nails look greasy, according to the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
In a study released Monday, the Academy said it’s “disgusted” by people spending more than $400 for a manicure.
In a nutshell, nail polish is made from natural materials that are then infused with chemicals.
It’s a popular choice for young girls and for people who want to look youthful and chic, but can also be toxic if ingested.
“I find it very distressing that people are spending a lot of money on this,” said the academy’s chief medical officer, Dr. Paul Ting.
“It’s not an option to me that it should be.
There’s no question about that.”
The study looked at more than 9,000 consumers who had undergone at least two manicures, and the results showed that nail care products are the most popular products for the majority of consumers.
About half of the people who bought nail care said they would use the product again.
The study also found that about $60 million in consumer spending was directed to nail care.
The American Academy said in a statement that “the Academy does not recommend that people seek any treatment for any condition for which they may have a diagnosis or treatment.”
The academy added that there is no scientific evidence to support the use of chemical-based nail care for any conditions.
