Michelle Kwan/The Hill article Former first lady Melania Trump has been tapped to help with a $100 million manicure set by an international design firm, according to a report in The Hill.
Melania Trump, who has been criticized by some critics for not doing enough to combat the opioid epidemic, will work on the set of a $40 million-plus project at the brand’s Milan headquarters, according the report.
A source familiar with the project confirmed to The Hill that the $40-million project will be made up of five buildings that include an art gallery, a spa and a hotel.
The Italian brand’s president, Francesco Rinaldi, said he is very proud of the project and that Melania will be the first first lady to work on it, The Hill reported.
The project is part of the first-of-its-kind effort by the company to create a brand identity for its portfolio of beauty products, The New York Times reported last year.
The company’s signature collection includes more than 80 different beauty products from the likes of Lancôme, Urban Decay, CoverGirl, MAC, Sally Hansen and many more.
The luxury beauty brand launched in 2017, and is a member of the Luxury Brands Group, which includes the likes, Chanel, Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabbana and more.
In recent years, the company has launched more than 40 cosmetics and wellness products including a line of skincare products called La Leche League and the first fragrance of its kind: La Vie en Rose.
